3 days left :-)

Well, getting closer to launching the new website. Got most of the pages set up, now I am working hard on putting all the tedious details that fill up each and every page. Working on setting up the website so you can follow us on the 3 major social networking sites, MySpace, Facebook, and Twitter. Some BIG sales for April. We had 2 wedding dates cancel (due to the ever slowing economy.) So, October 3 and July 25 are now open again. We have decided to extend our ever popular pay in full sale for the month or April. Pay in full package is: 8 hours of continuous coverage, DVD of all images with printing rights, and FREE online viewing/ordering all for $500 plus tax if you pay in full or $600 if you put down a $100 deposit with a signed contract. These are the booked dates for 2009. April 25, May 2, May 23, May 30, June 6, June 20, June 27, July 11, August 1, August 8, August 15, September 19. Our assistant is available on August 8 and August 15.

Almost Done!

Well, the website is getting closer and closer to being done. We have about 70% of it done now. We are on track for an April 1 launching. Our computer had yet another set back, but we are due to receive it today! With warmer weather approaching, we are getting ready to launch some incredible sales for April and May! Think Spring :-)




Sometimes, you just gotta make a session fun and forget about all the smiling and saying "Cheese" and let kids choose their own posing :-)

Delays...

Well, just when we thought we where going to have the computer all ready to go, we realized that I got such a great 64 bit computer that we had to buy some special window's program to run it effectively. People keep asking where we have gotten our computer from, so here it is: Spork Schivago from Bits-N-Pieces (repair and beyond). His number is 607-962-2469. He was able to build us a really powerful machine from scratch. This allows us to choose what we did and did not need. The best part, it only took about 1 week for the parts and shell to arrive! A little delay on the window operating program I bought (always ask before you go out and buy a program). Even better, tell him I sent you and in the Month of March, you will receive 10% off all repairs. Here is some more work...

Working Hard

As most of you know, there have been big changes here at the studio! Still working hard on the website. Got about 40% of it completed and am gearing an April 1 launching! The new computer came in and Ken who is building it for us is just waiting for me to buy a few more programs that it needs so we can get it down to the studio. This computer will make the work flow 5 times faster (even though I will miss my laptop, the desk top will make my work flow 100% smoother - less stressful) Having fun with the new camera. Working on getting the new lens yet. The one I thought I was gonna have was sold to another person by mistake :-( Maybe next month... Also working on forms that will make the ordering that much easier to order prints and digital work. My main goal is to make the post session ordering go just as smooth and easy as the session itself. Make sure you book your appointment online at the "Book Now" button. When you do this, I get an e-mail with the time and date. The program even sends you a reminder :-)

Camera, new supplies, and more...

Well, we got our new camera! Waiting on the new lens we are adding to our ever growing gear list. I have played with the camera and love it! I won't get a true feel until we get that new lens, but I already can't wait for the next wedding (April 25 ~unless someone out there wants me to try it out on yours...) We have a studio appointment tomorrow and will truly test it's power! Our natural light approach is such a blessing! After all, photography to me is recreating what I see and feel through my own eyes. We have totally ditched the last of our studio lights and will be shooting fully "natural"... If you haven't, try us out today! You will be glad that you did... Here are pictures of my children that I took while testing out the equipment. The last one reminds me of how much my daughter acts (and looks) like her dad :-)

Progress

Wow, so we are in the midst of getting our website together. It is a lot harder than I thought. It's time consuming more than anything. And I am having a hard time making up my mind what I do and do not want in there. Hoping to have it all up by the end of March.
